The Suffolk Salon

Hutterites__Saskatchewan

backroad books hosts the Suffolk Salon in the village of Peasenhall, Suffolk on an irregular basis every few months.

Taking place in the spirit of the European salons of the 17th and 18th Century, the Suffolk Salon aims to "please and instruct" based on Horace's definition of poetry.

These informal gatherings are a mix of entertainment, discussion and debate, with a focus on photography and other arts and culture topics, accompanied by food and wine.

The Suffolk Salon is free but guests are asked to bring a bottle of their favourite wine and openly participate in the evening's conversation.

Due to limitations of space, attendance of the salon is by invitation only. If you would like to be added to the guest list please send an email to mail @ backroadbooks.com with 'Suffolk Salon' in the subject line.
